Rampurhat College is situated in a district that endorses the growth of Bauls as an important part of the nation’s folk culture. It has also the privilege to be situated in the zone of Rabindranath Tagore’s Santiniketan, one of the foremost cultural hubs of West Bengal. These two factors have enriched the cultural environment of the institution. The Department of Music of the college along with the Cultural Committee plays the pivotal role in organizing cultural programmes throughout the year. Students, teachers and non-teaching staff of the college participate in different activities like musical performance, dance, recitation, painting etc. in the events organized by the college on different important days. Students are encouraged to participate in various cultural activities for their holistic development.

Some students of the college often participate in different cultural meets of the district and also perform in All India Radio to make the institution proud.
